Puerto Madero is the waterfront neighborhood of Buenos Aires, occupying a good part of the Rio de la Plata riverbank. While many port cities are typically historic and richest in old-charm culture, Puerto Madero has undergone a complete transformation in the past 20 years. Once a poor dockside district, the area is now frequented by the professionals, celebrities and nouveau riche of Buenos Aires. With perfectly-manicured parks, modern high-rises and 5-star restaurants, Puerto Madero has become a new hot spot for corporate travelers and those looking for a trendy headquarters.
