Barrio Norte (Northern Quarter) is another unofficial “borough” that sits next to Recoleta, and you can very easily find yourself in Barrio Norte without even knowing you left Recoleta. The famous Sante Fe Avenue is at the heart of Barrio Norte and acts as a great hub for shopping or people watching while sipping on a cappuccino on its wide sidewalk terraces. Not as expensive as Recoleta, Barrio Norte is a great destination for those who want to be located close to nightlife and shopping, while enjoying traditional belle epoque French architecture.

Paseo alcortaThis shopping complex features large areas distributed in its three stories. The premises house more than 300 stores, a roofed parking lot for 1,400 cars, a fabulous playing area for children, 4 movie theatres, and a supermarket.
We stayed for 10 days while visiting our daughter. Check-in and check out were smooth and the representatives on time. All our dealings with aptsba were pleasant. The apartment was quiet and the location convenient. The unit is as described and pictured, although slightly smaller than expected and some of the kitchen cabinets house water heaters or plumbing. The unit was adequetly supplied and included a local cell phone. There were plenty of towels and the mattresses were comfortable. The mid-week cleaning left the unit even cleaner than when we arrived. If you don't need a concierge and don't want to be surrounded by other tourists, staying here can give you the feeling that you are experiencing the city as a local. Rather than room service and a gift shop in the lobby, there is a Carrefour two blocks away. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
